Mona has attended several important functions from 1999 to present. She spoke at the 1999 Annual address, at the 2000 Inaugural Meeting of Council. She has led the opening Thanksgiving prayer by Pauline Johnson of Brantford. Mona has played a significant role in the tree planting ceremony at the Northwest Pedestrian Bridge Celebration which involved her story of the forming of the Iroquois Confederacy. She has read an Ode to Chief Joseph Brant and led the opening prayer at the September 11, Memorial in Victoria Park, Brantford. Mona is known for her famous quote “Let’s get back to you as my friends, native or non-native, we’re all on Mother Earth together. We can heal ourselves.” The quote is very befitting of Mona because she is an individual who appreciates the beauty of nature, people and her culture.

The Brantford Inventors' Club
We meet every second Wednesday of the month to discuss inventions, the patent process, and how to do it. Inventors and guest speakers will present their inventions to the group and field questions, it is an opportunity to have potential inventors question people who have been there and done that. Also a 'DRAGONS DEN' situation, where the financial help and advice may be available. There are government programs in place at no cost to tell a potential inventor whether or not someone else has already patented their idea and to continue or not in that direction. The Link Inventors club does not charge fees, we ask for a $2. donation at the door as a non profit organization; there is a membership fee of $20 per year, if you want to join, this is the only fee involved. For any further information please contact club member, Graham at 519-756-7070.
